Joey Marquez’ son named HUDCC deputy secretary general

Actor-politician Jeremy Marquez was named deputy secretary general of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).

Marquez is the son of actor Joey Marquez who served as Parañaque’s mayor for three terms.

The younger Marquez served as a village chief in BF Homes in Parañaque City for three terms. He ran as vice mayor under the Nacionalista Party in 2016 but lost.

Aside from Marquez, President Rodrigo Duterte also appointed Presidential Consultant for Education Jose David Lapuz as member of the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) National Commission of the Philippines.
