The Senate unanimously approved on third and final reading on Monday a resolution concurring in the ratification of an International Labor Organization (ILO) treaty that provides protection for government workers by recognizing their right to form a union and negotiate employment conditions.
Twenty-two of 23 senators voted to approve Senate Resolution No. 454 agreeing to the ILO Convention No. 151, which would benefit 2.3 million government employees.
