Thousands join boodle fight in Guinobatan, Albay Longganisa Festival

GUINOBATAN, Albay – Thousands of residents here joined the first longest line of longganisa (sausage) boodle fight laid out along Rizal
street, one of the main thoroughfares of Guinobatan town, during the celebration of Guinobatan Longganisa Festival on Friday.

At least 25,000 pieces of fried longganisa, 2,000 pieces of fried eggs, 2,000 fresh tomatoes, 1,000 cucumbers and five sacks of rice
were shared by the crowd.

Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco said the line stretched about 400 meters.

“We never expected that this event will become a success. Thanks to every individual who participated in the event.” she said.
