GUINOBATAN, Albay – Hundreds of spectators satisfied their hunger with various viands made out of Guinobatan town’s famous longganisa (sausage) during the Longganisa Culinaria held here on Friday.

The Longganisa Culinaria, which is the main highlight of the Longganisa Festival celebration in this town, gathered contestants to surprise the crowd with various viands using the longganisa as the main ingredient. Among the viands and food created there were longganisa empanada, longganisa sisig, longganisa Burger and many more.

Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco said she was impressed by the creativity of every contestant.

“With their unique skills and talent plus innovations, they are doing good in promoting the town’s product,” she said.

Ongjoco said the secret behind the popularity of the sausage in local markets is that makers only use natural ingredients while manually creating it.
