CEBU CITY—At least P12 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) was seized from a female college student and another woman in Barangay (village) Tisa, Cebu City early on Thursday.

Mheacy Empasis, a 23-year-old Education student, and Trinidad Lumactud, 46, were arrested after two months of surveillance.

At least 1,075 grams of shabu worth P12.6 million were seized from the suspects, said Chief Insp. Christopher Navida, head of the City Intelligence Branch.

He described Empasis as a level-two drug pusher who could dispose 200 to 500 grams of illegal drug per week.

The student, he added, had links to an inmate in Cebu City jail and was working with Lumactud.
