A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck Bohol at 8:43 a.m. on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs initially measured the earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, at magnitude 5.6.
The quake, 9.58°N, 124.15°E – 003 km S 24° W of Dimiao, Bohol, has a depth of focus of 528 kilometers.
Phivolcs said there were no expected damages recorded but aftershocks were expected following the tremor. IDL
