President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday offered P2 million bounty for each of the policemen involved in the Ozamis mass killings allegedly perpetuated by Parojinog clan.
“Like the policemen who are now shortlisted in the killing of so many civilians buried in a cemetery there at the back of a barangay hall, each of the policeman carried on their head now, I’m announcing P2 million per head. And you are free to go and leave,” he said during he said in a speech during the 116th Police Service Anniversary at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
“P2 million per head, dead or alive. Better dead because I have to pay for the funeral parlor expense,” he added.
Police in Ozamiz City have dug up bones in an alleged mass grave used by members of the “martilyo gang,” which has been linked to the Parojinog clan.
The President’s statement came days after Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and 15 others were killed in a raid in the city.
The Chief Executive had earlier tagged the Parijinogs as among the narcopoliticians operating in Mindanao.
He said the Parojinogs, who hold key political posts, ran Ozamis City like a “feudal state.”
Duterte also said he would have an unannounced visit to Ozamis City to warn the policemen linked to the Parojinogs.
“I will be visiting Ozamis. I will not tell you when. ‘Yung mga kasama ni Parojinog, you will have your comeuppance,” he said. JE
