BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — A motorcycle rider, who was involved in a collision with a bus in Tuguegarao City on Tuesday morning, died at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center, police said.

Architect Noriel Christian Parallag, 38, passed away while undergoing treatment at CVMC, where he was rushed after he crashed into a GV Florida bus in Gosi village at 5 a.m., said Supt. Alex Delos Santos, Cagayan Valley police information officer.

The impact triggered a fire that razed both vehicles, but none of the 22 bus passengers were harmed by the accident. The bus driver also survived unscathed.

Investigators said Parallag’s motorcycle swerved and hit the bus, after he struck a carabao-drawn cart driven by a local farmer, Lorenzo Canava. JE
