BAYOMBONG, NUEVA VIZCAYA—A passenger bus and a motorcycle caught fire after a collision in Tuguegarao City in Cagayan province on Tuesday morning, police said.
Reports said the Tuguegarao-bound GV Florida bus was cruising along the national highway in Barangay (village) Gosi when it was hit by a motorcycle driven by Noriel Christian Parallag, 38. The impact triggered the blaze that damaged both vehicles.
Parallag, police said, lost control of his motorcycle and smashed into the bus on the opposite lane after he hit a carabao-drawn cart along the highway at 5 a.m.
The 22 bus passengers and the drivers of both vehicles managed to flee to safety before the fire broke out. Parallag, however, sustained minor injuries. RJLA
