Faces of the news: Anthony Scaramucci
It now appears that the White House has room for only one hip-shooter. He had hardly warmed his seat when communications director Anthony Scaramucci was fired by his boss, President Trump, over an obscene tirade.
His attacks against White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and Trump’s strategist, Steve Bannon, in profanity-laden terms, caused his downfall.
On the day he fired Scaramucci, Trump tweeted: “A great day at the White House!”
It turned out Scaramucci wrote a memo, a communications plan, calling for the White House Press Office to professionalize its operations.
“No communication staffer goes home without returning all calls, e-mails and texts. People may not like our answers — but they should always be treated professionally and respectfully,” he wrote.
