Aug. 6

IronMan 70.3 Philippines

Considered the country’s premier long-distance triathlon event, this year’s IronMan 70.3 is held again in Cebu province. About 2,000 triathletes from different countries will join the world-class race, which will start and end at Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa. The event will start with a 1.9-kilometer swim, a 90-km bike course and finish with a 21-km run course, traversing picturesque sights in Cebu.

Aug. 9

Bonga Festival

Dubbed the fruit capital of Cebu province, the town of Sibonga showcases grapes and other fruits, its major products. Sibonga also pays homage to the town’s patron Our Lady of Pilar and St. Filomena during the festival.
