CITY OF ILAGAN—A suspected drug dealer was shot dead by a policeman during a drug operation on Friday night in Malasin village here.
Supt. Ariel Quilang, Ilagan city police chief, said Jobel Manuel allegedly fired at an undercover police officer to whom he was about to sell a sachet of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a buy-bust operation here, which prompted the policeman to draw his gun to shoot him.
Forensic investigators recovered a revolver, four sachets of suspected shabu, two marked one-thousand-peso bills, and P110 in cash.
Manuel’s body was brought to a funeral parlor for autopsy. GAL
