The weather disturbance was last seen 1,305 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon, according to the bulletin issued at 11 a.m. by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday.
As of 10 a.m., it was packing maximum winds of 90 kilometers per hour (kph), with gustiness reaching up to 135 kph. It was  seen moving westward at 10 kph.

Aside from Luzon, Pagasa said Noru has no direct effect in any other places in the country.

It will, however, bring light to moderate rains, and possible occasional heavy rains and gusty winds caused by thunderstorms over the western sections of Visayas.

Pagasa advised the public to expect light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the western sections of Luzon until Saturday. Renz Paolo B. Regis INQUIRER.net trainee / JPV
