Most parts of the country will experience rain on Thursday due to the southwest monsoon, the state weather bureau said.
Metro Manila, the Visayas, and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao and the Zamboanga peninsula will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its morning bulletin.
Pagasa warned of occasionally heavy rain and gusty winds due to thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain or thunderstorms.
The southwest monsoon or habagat is affecting the entire country and is causing the rainy weather, Pagasa said.
Meanwhile, Typhoon “Noru,” which is outside the Philippine area of responsibility, is enhancing the southwest monsoon. Noru was last located 1,565 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon. FM / CBB
