SUV kills man waiting for ride along Marcos Highway in Pasig

A man waiting for a ride in Pasig City was killed when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed onto the sidewalk early Wednesday morning.

Authorities identified the fatality as Marcelo Julian, of 15 Kareta Street, Barangay Sto. Nino, Marikina City.

Julian  was waiting for a ride along the eastbound lane of Marcos Highway leading to Antipolo City when a white Ford Ranger (AAG 6662) suddenly veered onto the sidewalk in Barangay Dela Paz, dzIQ 990 reported, citing the Metro Manila Development Authority.

The SUV reportedly went wayward after a speeding passenger jeepney cut into its path.
