Expect more rain on Wednesday — Pagasa

Most of the country will experience rain on Wednesday due to the southwest monsoon, the state weather bureau said.

Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol, Eastern and Central Visayas, Caraga and Zamboanga peninsula will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.

The southwest monsoon is being enhanced by Typhoon “Noru” which is hovering northeast of the country outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

The typhoon was last tracked 1,595 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes. It was packing maximum sustained winds of 165 kilometers per hour and gusts of 205 kph. FM / CBB
