(Updated, 3:58 p.m.) Bureau of Customs (BOC) Chief Nicanor Faeldon is set to meet with President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday afternoon amid the Congressional investigations on the P6.4-billion worth of illegal drugs from China that passed through the Bureau of Customs (BOC) last May.

“I just want to inform the honorable members of the committee that the President has called for Commissioner Faeldon at 4 p.m. today in Malacanang. So we will allow him to leave and we will allow him to see the President today,” said Surigao del Norte Second District Representative Robert Ace Barbers during a House hearing on Tuesday.

A Palace source confirmed that Duterte would meet with Faeldon and Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Internal Revenue Commissioner Cesar Dulay and Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.

The BOC is under the Department of Finance.
