DOJ summons suspected drug lords to answer CIDG complaint

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has summoned suspected drug lord Peter Lim to respond to the complaint filed by the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Aside from Lim, also ordered to respond to the complaint filed by the PNP-CIDG are Rolan “Kerwin” Espinosa, convicted drug lord Peter Co, Marcelo Adorco, Max Miro and Lovely Impal. They are facing a complaint for violation of Section 26 (b) of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Section 26 (b) is an attempt or conspiracy for the sale, trading, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution and transportation of any dangerous drug and/or controlled precursor and essential chemical. The complaint was filed last July 5, 2017.

A check on the records of the complaint stated that the preliminary investigation is set on Aug. 14, 2017. The respondents were required to appear before Assistant State Prosecutors Aristotle Reyes and John Michael Humarang.

All the respondents had been included in the Bureau of Immigration’s Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO). JPV
