DID YOU KNOW: Breastfeeding Awareness Month

Breastfeeding Awareness Month is observed every August by virtue of Republic Act No. 10028 signed on March 16, 2010.

The law also highlighted the importance of public education and awareness to promote and support breastfeeding as the normal, natural and preferred method of feeding infants and young children. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
