Did You Know: Only 57% of buses passed MMDA smoke-belching test

According to the First Quarter Report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, 1,882 passenger buses were inspected and tested during the smoke-belching operations of the agency.

Of the figure, 1,068 buses passed while 814 others — that, 57 percent passed while 43 percent failed.

During the same period last year, 921 vehicles were tested and only 314 passed. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
