Rains will continue in most parts of Luzon on Friday due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by Severe Tropical Storm Gorio (international name: Nesat).
The southwest monsoon continued to affect Luzon and the western section of Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its bulletin early Friday.

Signal No. 1 remained hoisted over Batanes. Rains and gusty winds will prevail there.
Gorio was last tracked 460 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 105 kilometers per hour (kph), up from 90 kph, near the center and gustiness of up to 130 kph, up from 115 kph.
It is forecast to move northwest at 15 kph, up from 13 kph.
Monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides are expected over Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Pagasa said.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorm will prevail over Mindanao.
