JAKARTA — The Jakarta Education Agency is tracking down students who allegedly watched a porn movie using a classroom projector, as captured by a photo that went viral on Facebook.
The deputy head of the agency, Bowo Irianto, said on Tuesday the agency believed the incident happened in a school in East Jakarta, although he still did not know the exact location of the school.
“I have asked some departments in the education agency to track down the (students),” Bowo said as quoted by tempo.co.
If the incident really happened, the agency would question the students involved and impose sanctions on them, he added.
The agency would also question the teachers and sanction them if they were found to have been negligent in the case, Bowo said.
On July 23, a Facebook user named Gua Syahrul Gunawan uploaded a photo of some students who wore Scout Movement (Pramuka) uniforms watching porn in a classroom.
A Facebook user named Andi Awal reported the photo to the police’s account Halo Polisi on Monday evening./rga
