DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines—The bodies of a boy and a young man were found floating on Wednesday in two different sections of the Agno River in Pangasinan province, police said on Thursday.
The body of Jonell Sebastian, 12, was discovered by a fisherman at the river in Barangay (village) San Vicente, Alcala town, at 7:20 p.m.
Police said Sebastian was last seen alive before 7 p.m. two days before.
In Bugallon town, the body of Jordan Muñoz, 19, was found at 7:40 a.m. on the portion of the river that cuts through Barangay Banaga.
Muñoz was one of two men who were reported missing on Monday night after their boat flipped as they crossed the Agno River from Aguilar town to San Carlos City.
The body of his companion, Adrian Wyeth de la Cruz, was retrieved around 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Agno River, the province’s main river system, traverses 16 towns and cities before it exits toward the Lingayen Gulf.—Gabriel Cardinoza/rga
