Rain is forecast over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, due to the southwest monsoon (habagat).
Habagat will also affect the Visayas and the regions of Ilocos, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol and Caraga, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in its 4 a.m. bulletin.
The provinces of Zambales, Bataan and Aurora will also be affected.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms will be experienced over these areas.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country, Pagasa said.
Light to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Meanwhile, Tropical Depression “Gorio” hovered east of the country.
At 3 a.m., its center was seen 440 km northeast of Borangan City, Eastern Samar, with maximum sustained winds of 60 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph.
It is forecast to move north-northwest at 15 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon and Visayas.
The coastal waters across the entire archipelago will be moderate to occasionally rough. FM / CBB
