Fire hits Ormoc’s Gaisano mall

Two weeks after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake rocked Ormoc in Leyte, a fire struck the Eastern Visayan city, destroying parts of Gaisano Capital Mall Sunday morning.

Initial investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection said fire broke out at about 1 a.m. on the third floor of the mall.

As of 11 a.m., the fire was still raging and had reached the 3rd alarm, radio reports said. CBB/rga
