Sinulog de Tanjay
Locals of Tanjay City in Negros Oriental province hold a street dance parade depicting the battle between Moros and Christians. Performers, representing different contingents, dance to the beat of drums in colorful costumes. The festival claims to be the oldest Sinulog in the country, as it started in 1814 as a small affair outside the Tanjay parish church.

Panagsogod Festival
The town of Sogod in Cebu province celebrates its history, cultural heritage and local talent. “Panagsogod,” which means “the beginning” in Cebuano, also gives thanks to its patron St. James the Apostle. The festival is one of the major festivities in Cebu.

The agriculture industry of the town of Barili in Cebu province is showcased in the festival. The town’s agricultural products include rice, corn, bananas, vegetables and coconuts.
