Monsoon, ITCZ to bring rains in most parts of PH

Two weather systems will bring rains in most of the country, the state weather bureau said Friday.

The southwest monsoon or hanging habagat is affecting Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

An intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), meanwhile, is affecting Mindanao.

Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, CALABARZON and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, Pagasa said. FM/IDL
