AirAsia PH to give soldiers free baggage allowance, snacks
In recognition of their sacrifice and heroism, Armed Forces military personnel on peace-keeping missions will get extra baggage allowance and free in-flight meals and snacks from a budget airline.
“We recognize the incredible sacrifices of our military heroes and Bayanihan spirit among Filipinos,” AirAsia Philippines CEO Capt. Dexter Comendador said on the airline’s Facebook page on Wednesday night.
Comendador, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1982, is himself a former military pilot.
The airline said it would give military personnel free baggage allowance of up to 40 kgs and free snacks on all their flights. They just have to show their ID and mission order.
