Blackwater, Cebuana see action today
THE Blackwater Elite gun for their second win this week as they take on the dangerous Freego Jeans in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup today at the Arellano University Gym.
Blackwater test the mettle of Freego Jeans at 4 p.m. in the venue that happens to be the practice facility of the Elite so they should enjoy home court advantage.
It will be the second game in three nights for the league leaders, who are seeking their fourth consecutive win.
Meantime, Cebuana Lhuillier aims for a third straight victory when it battles RnW Pacific Pipes at 2 p.m. Freego Jeans is tied for second spot with Cebuana Lhuillier and Big Chill with 2-0 marks.
When their pre-season game against the Gems was brought to him, RnW Pacific Pipes coach Topex Robinson jokingly said that he had a severely depleted lineup.
The Steel Masters escaped with a, 78-77 decision against DUB Unlimited on Tuesday to rebound from a forgettable 48-70 defeat against Big Chill last week. Robinson said the win “gives us a push in time for our game against Cebuna Lhuillier.”/Correspondent Jonas Panerio
