Doctor’s murder probed

/ 07:33 AM July 18, 2017

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Monday directed the National Bureau of Investigation to look into the murder of the provincial health officer of Cavite who was killed in an ambush in Trece Martires City last week.

In his Department Order No. 486, Aguirre ordered NBI Director Dante Gierran to conduct a “case buildup” on the killing of Dr. George Repique Jr. and submit a status report on their investigation.

Repique, 49, had just finished his hospital duty at General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital when he was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen at around 9 p.m. on July 11. —Marlon Ramos
