Village exec shot dead in Las Piñas

A barangay official in Las Piñas City was shot dead by unidentified assailants after stepping out of his barangay hall on Tuesday afternoon.

Barangay Almanza Dos executive officer Dindo Acompañado succumbed to five gunshot wounds in an attack involving four gunmen on two black Yamaha Mio motorcycles, police said.

According to case investigator SPO2 Rene Mollenido, the 48-year-old Acompañado was walking from the barangay hall to a nearby computer shop in TS Cruz Subdivision when shot around 3 p.m.

He was later declared dead on arrival at Ospital ng Muntinlupa.

Mollenido said the investigation was looking at personal grudges among the possible motives for the killing. –Dexter Cabalza
