Damage due to Leyte quake costs P51 million, NDRRMC says
Damage to properties from the 6.5 magnitude earthquake in Leyte has reached P51 million, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.
In its latest update on Sunday night, the recorded damage was a total of P51,786,698.20.
The earthquake left two killed and 329 injured.
Fourteen road sections and 10 bridges in the provinces of Biliran, Leyte and Southern Leyte were damaged to the quake. But all are still passable, the NDRRMC said.
Aftershocks continued to be felt as of Monday, four days after the first tremor last Thursday.
