Did You Know: Cultural Communities Week

Cultural Communities Week is observed every second week of July by virtue of Proclamation No. 250 signed on April 20, 1988, by then President Corazon Aquino.

The observance aims to promote the importance of indigenous tribal Filipinos to national unity and development and the need to preserve their rich cultural heritage, not only for the Philippines but also for the world. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
