DPWH notes cracks in 4 bridges, 3 roads in Leyte after quake

The Department of Public Works and Highways has recorded cracks and other types of damage in four bridges and three roads in the Eastern Visayas following a 6.5 magnitude earthquake that rocked Leyte last Thursday.

In a report, the agency said this is apart from one privately-owned building in Kananga, Leyte which collapsed, leaving one dead and 16 injured.

Meanwhile, cracks were reported in the following structures:

  • Campokpok Bridge
  • Tabango-Catmon-La Fortuna-Manlawaan-Gimarco Road
  • Palo-Carigara-Ormoc Road
  • Valencia Bridge
  • Kinuhangan Bridge
  • Pagsangaan Bridge
  • Kanangga-Tongonan Hot Spring Road

All the damaged structures, however, are still passable to vehicles. /atm
