Int’l prosecutor: Gadhafi son will be arrested

/ 07:11 PM November 09, 2011

THE HAGUE, Netherlands—The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court says he is confident Seif al-Islam Gadhafi will face justice in The Hague, but does not know where the fugitive son of Libya’s former leader is hiding.

Luis Moreno-Ocampo says his investigators are “following information about the probable whereabouts” of Seif and former Libyan intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senoussi “and we are encouraging efforts to arrest them.”

The two were indicted by the International Criminal Court in June for unleashing a campaign of murder and torture to suppress the uprising against the Gadhafi regime that broke out in February.

Moreno-Ocampo said Wednesday “it is a matter of time” before Seif al-Islam is arrested and brought to justice.
