A recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted on June 23-26 revealed that 78 percent of Filipinos were satisfied with  Duterte’s performance. Only 12 percent were dissatisfied and 10 percent were undecided.

SWS said the net satisfaction rating of +66 was Duterte’s new personal record high.

The President got an “excellent” +73 while he obtained a “very good” in “Balance Luzon” with +58. His public satisfaction rating remained “very good” in Metro Manila at +63.

Duterte’s net rating remained “excellent” in Mindanao, though it dropped 12 points from +87 percent in March to +75.

“The survey result three percent higher from March 2017’s 75 percent is a clear indication of the growing confidence in the Chief Executive and his performance as the country’s leader,” Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a Palace briefing.

“It shows tacit public support to the President’s action following the rebellion in Marawi,” Abella added.

He said the results of the latest survey motivates the Duterte administration to restore peace and order in Marawi City

“This positive acknowledgement of the Filipino people furthermore motivates the administration to work for the restoration of the normalcy in Marawi and to start its rehabilitation as well as to bring a comfortable life to all Filipinos including Muslim Filipinos,” he said. JPV/rga
