Thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Wednesday evening, the state weather bureau said.
Thunderstorm is affecting Bulacan (San Miguel, San Ildefonso, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Plaridel, Dona Remedios), Cavite (Amadeo, Indang), Laguna (Cabuyao, Calamba), Batangas (Mabini, Bauan), Rizal (Antipolo, Rodriguez), Quezon (Plaridel), which may persist within two hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said at 4:15 p.m.
Thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and other areas of Bulacan, Calabarzon within the next 3 hours.
Pagasa warned the public of heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods.
A monsoon trough is affecting the western section of Luzon and Visayas.
A low pressure area was spotted 625 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Ilocos region and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan and Palawan, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
