Mayor’s aide killed in Isabela

ROXAS, ISABELA – A security aide of Mallig town Mayor Jose Calderon was killed by unidentified armed men on Tuesday.

Norlando Soriano and his wife were driving to a school near the municipal hall to fetch their children when he was stopped and shot in the head and torso by three men in Victoria village, police said.

The men did not harm his wife. Soriano died when he was being transferred from the Manuel Roxas District Hospital to the Isabela United Doctors Medical Center in Cauayan City. Police said Soriano was a former New People’s Army rebel. JE
