DepEd director shot dead in Pagadian City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A Department of Education official was gunned down in Pagadian City on Monday evening, the police said.


Supt. Kiram Jimlani, police chief of Pagadian City, said the newly installed DepEd director for Zamboanga del Sur, Malcolm Borongan, was shot and killed at around 6 p.m.

Borongan was having a thanksgiving party when the incident happened.


Jimlani could not give details of the incident, saying they were still running after the suspect.
