Thunderstorm alert up in Metro, parts of southern Luzon

The state weather bureau on Wednesday warned of possible thunderstorm in the National Capital Region in the next 12 hours.

“Thunderstorm is more likely to develop over National Capital Region within 12 hours. All are advised to continue monitoring for update,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said at 10 a.m.

A monsoon trough is affecting Southern Luzon, which will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Bicol region and Calabarzon and the province of Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. FM/IDL
