Ecija cops nab suspected rob gang member

CABANATUAN CITY —  The police arrested a suspected  member of a robbery gang here on Monday (June 26), police said.

Ferdinand Valmonte, a supposed member of the Santos Crime Group, was served a search warrant at his home by members of the city police and the Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said Chief Insp. Francis Aldrich Garcia, CIDG Nueva Ecija director.

The gang has been tied to car theft, swindling, and robberies in Nueva Ecija and adjacent provinces.

Garcia said the police seized from Valmonte’s house an Armscor .45-pistol and several rounds of ammunition for a rifle.  SFM
