Farmer survives gun attack in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY — A 60-year-old farmer in Umingan town in Pangasinan province survived on Monday a gun attack by his brother-in-law.

Cesar Paryaoan Jr. was tying rice seedlings at the back of his house in Barangay (village) Caurdanetaan when Alfredo Balansay, 35, shot him at 5:45 p.m., police said.

Paryaoan was hit in the left shoulder and left thigh and is now being treated in a hospital.

Balansay fled on a motorcycle driven by Danilo Domingo, 35, but were later arrested in Barangay Don Montano. CBB
