LUCENA CITY – At least eight suspects, four of them women, were nabbed in three separate drug raids in Lucena City on Saturday, police said Sunday.
Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police provincial director, said anti-illegal drugs operatives armed with search warrants raided three houses in Purok (sub-village) Buklod Pagkakaisa in Barangay (village) Cotta early evening.
In the house of Ronelo Rastrullo, 45, suspected drug pusher and den maintainer, police caught five others – Jayson Abadilla, 34; Lorna Alvar, 49; Liza Gutierrez, 20; Francia Barrios, and Michelle Manimtim,
18 – while in the act of sniffing “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride).
Police also arrested Rosston Arazo, 32 and Mark Christian Diocales, 18, while also sniffing shabu in the house of target Benjamin Bondad who was not around during the raid.
Another target, Danilo Buhay, was also not around during the raid on his house, which was also in the same place. But the police found several plastic sachets of shabu inside his residence.
Police confiscated several sachets of shabu during the raids weighing a total of 8.4 grams and worth P15,541 in the illegal drug market. JE/rga
