Light to moderate rains are affecting portions of Metro Manila particularly Parañaque, Muntinlupa and Las Piñas, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said rains are also being felt in parts of Quezon, particularly Lucena, Pagbilao, Padre Burgos, portions of Bataan and Lubao and Sasmuan in Pampanga.

The light to moderate rains may persist for one to two hours, Pagasa said.

Pagasa said Cavite, Bulacan, Batangas and the rest of Metro Manila should also expect light to moderate rains within the next three hours.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will also be experienced over Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, Negros Island and Western Visayas.

Light to moderate winds coming from the southwest to south will prevail over Palawan and from the southeast to south over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, the weather bureau added.
