WATCH: Dramatic video of cobra entering home goes viral

PETALING JAYA — A dramatic video of a huge cobra slithering into a home in Batu Pahat, Johor, has gone viral, garnering up to two million views on social media.

The video posted by Facebook user Derrick YiFan shows the cobra emerging from a shoe rack outside his house at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The snake – estimated to be about eight feet long – then slowly moved towards the main door which appeared to be shut, and begins climbing up towards a small opening at the top before entering the house through the gap.

Derrick, however, said fortunately no one was at home at that time and that the Fire and Rescue Department was called to catch the snake.

He had also posted an update that the reptile could not be found.

However, a Facebook page called Viral Media Johor said the snake was later caught by firefighters.
