MANILA, Philippines — At least 533 passengers were stranded in provincial ports due to bad weather brought by tropical storm “Chedeng”, said a report on DZIQ 990AM Wednesday.
Quoting the latest report from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), DZIQ 990AM said there were 170 stranded passengers in Bulan, 20 in Pilar Sorsogon, 260 in Tabaco Albay, 40 in Virac and San Andres in Catanduanes and 43 in Masbate.
Four vessels were also stranded in Matnog Sorsogon, the report said.
Sea transport with gross tons of 1000 and below were not allowed to sail, said the report.
PCG unit commanders are continually monitoring Philippine ports, the report said.
