OLONGAPO CITY — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Zambales on Monday afternoon (June 19), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the tremor was recorded at 2:08 p.m. and was tectonic in origin.
The epicenter of the quake was located 12 kilometers north west of San Felipe, Zambales and was 29 kilometers deep.
The tremor was also felt in this city.
No damage or aftershock is expected, according to Phivolcs. SFM/rga
