Suspected drug pusher nabbed after evading cops in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A suspected drug pusher was arrested after trying to escape arresting policemen in Calauag town in Quezon province Sunday afternoon, police said Monday.

Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police provincial director, said Mark Glenn de Luna, 32, managed to escape aboard a motorcycle during a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Biyan at about 5 p.m. Police gave chase while alerting authorities in nearby Lopez
town.

De Luna was arrested in Barangay San Miguel Dau in Lopez an hour later. Police seized eight plastic sachets of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 3.66 grams worth P6,771 from the suspect.

De Luna was tagged by the authorities as one of major local drug pushers. CBB/rga
