A 4.9-magnitude earthquake shook Surigao Del Sur on Friday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The quake, which had a depth of six kilometers, hit north east of Bislig City at 9:44 a.m.
It was felt in the following areas:
Intensity IV – Bislig City
Intensity II – Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur
Phivolcs said it is unlikely that buildings will be damaged or that there will be aftershocks. KS/IDL/rga
