Gunmen kill 2 in QC attacks

Two men were gunned down in separate attacks by still-unidentified assailants the other day in Quezon City, the police said on Wednesday.

A report to Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District director, identified the victims as Randy Colasito, 38 and Jomar Libo-on, 42.

A witness said that around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, she was at her stall on Kalayaan Street, Barangay Batasan Hills, when she heard shots being fired. She then saw Calasito lying bloodied on the ground.

Other witnesses said they saw two men speeding away from the scene on a motorcycle. Both were wearing helmets.

On the same night, around 11:40 p.m., five masked men barged into Libo-on’s residence on Don Sergio Extension in Barangay Holy Spirit as he was watching TV.

The victim, who worked as an electrician, was shot in front of his wife, son and daughters, the QCPD said.

The police said they were conducting an investigation into both cases.
